DJDE, or dynamic job descriptor entry, is a control code created by Xerox. The production printer language can override other existing control statements in order to specify how a document should be printed. This allows for changes in form, image merging, font, bin switching, report offsetting or file downloading. This is great for PDF to PCL conversion.
Printers that recognize this system need a DJDE conversion to read other Xerox codes. This helps create proper documents. Without DJDE transformation, documents in other formats can either not print at all, print in an improper lay-out or print in computer code rather than the intended set-up. Because none of these results are preferable, investing in printware like HostServe will allow for simply DJDE transformation and worry free printing every time.
When an employee receives a document that is not in the correct format for your company's network, they may have the option to download the correct format. Although this is convenient for that employee in that instance, each time this happens your network will become increasingly congested. The more often this happens, the slower your overall network becomes. The individual drivers may be helpful at times, but there is a better solution to this problem. Many companies opt for the convenience of a single interpretive utility. APWI's HostServe provides this service and makes tasks like a DJDE transformation effortless. Any time your company receives a document that is in the wrong format, our program will make the change for you. Now a DJDE conversion or any other conversion is easier than ever.
